If you wish to see Leah the process is quite similar regardless of if you are an individual or a couple. Leah's consultations are time dependant with initial consultations lasting one hour for individuals and 2 hours for couples. Her follow up appointments typically last 30 minutes for individuals and one hour for couples, however, you will be charged based on the time spent with her.
When you make the first contact one of Leah's assistants will discuss with you your appointment details. Once you have scheduled your appointment, you will be emailed/posted a questionnaire to bring completed to your first session. This questionnaire will cover your full health picture and will provide much valuable information for Leah during your sessions.
The initial appointment is structured to understand your health complaints in as much detail as possible. Together you will discuss your health history, and Leah will conduct a physical assessment as indicated. She typically refers patients for additional assessments to be conducted between the first and second appointments. Initial treatment recommendations are discussed and the development of your treatment plan and program is organised in this session. This appointment lasts one hour for individuals and 2 hours for couples.
At the second appointment (typically held 1-3 weeks after the 1st appointment) you will review any assessments organised in more detail and fine tune your treatment plan. This session is generally where treatment truly begins and you will begin to take your first few steps towards a greater level of health and wellbeing. This appointment also lasts one hour for individuals and 2 hours for couples.
Your follow up appointments from this point are entirely dependant on your presenting health complaint, its duration and identified roadblocks to health. Often Leah will see patients more regularly in the initial stages and then appointments are conducted on a monthly basis until your health has stabilised.
As a general rule, required appointments initially may be every 2 weeks in stage 1, every 4 weeks in stage 2 and then as needed for maintenance. This obviously depends on the type of treatment program required and the severity of your condition.
Initial Treatment:
Maintenance and supportive treatment
Wellness treatment
Lifecycle treatment
Treatment results vary depending on the individual and their presenting complaint. Some individuals obtain quick results whilst others take several months or longer. As a general rule, the longer you have been experiencing your complaint for, the longer you will require treatment. It is important to remember that the healing process takes time. We are not trying to simply alleviate your symptoms; Leah's aim is to bring you to a greater level of health.
Our goal is to provide quality health care in a timely manner. As such, we have had to implement an appointment cancellation policy. This policy enables us to better utilise available appointments for our patients in need of our services. Please be courteous and notify us by phone or email if you are unable to attend an appointment at least 2 working days prior to your scheduled appointment. We will then be able to allocate this time to someone on our waiting list. Please note that if you miss an appointment or reschedule inside the 48 hours the full consultation fee will be charged (+ GST).
